VIA’s Marketing Manager has a flair for storytelling and a love of design, making her the perfect person to share VIA’s news, views and projects. Originally a teacher, Michelle is curious about what makes people tick, and has a nose for a story that showcases how VIA creates great architecture and interiors that work for people and place.
Michelle spent a decade in London where she discovered a taste for modern art, brutalist architecture and good Aussie expat coffee. She worked with dozens of architecture practices in the UK as an education consultant for a national school building program, and was the communications coordinator for the City of London Corporation’s biggest regeneration project to date. A highlight was travelling around the busy roads of the Square Mile atop a cherry picker, taking ‘before’ photos of a 1970s roundabout for the project manager.
Michelle’s role at VIA Architects includes all things comms and branding. She loves getting her hands dirty and will tag along to any building site to get a great shot of the team and clients in action.
On weekends, Michelle can be found in the op shops of Melbourne, or restoring mid-century furniture in her backyard.
Always say ‘yes!’ if you haven’t tried something before (it’s how I cut my teeth on my first digital marketing role with an education degree) but don’t be afraid to say no to the things that weaken your focus on your core purpose.
