Occupying a premium CBD location, this base build upgrade addresses design across six floors.

With a brief to give this prime commercial building a new face, as well as bring the building back to base build standard and ensure code requirements were met, the project was designed to appeal to a creative tenant mix, typically design firms, utilising a pared back industrial approach. Strip lighting, metal and concrete finishes and refined steel and aluminium window detailing were used to create a distinctive but neutral base.

Stripping off the existing exterior allowed new cladding to unite the frontage, along with an extension of the shopfront window and replacement of the canopy to a more premium steel. Drawing the eye across the new glazing and around to the inset access assisted the frontage to help draw visitors into the building.

Since the upgrade, all 6 floors have been fully leased, paving the way for further opportunities for further space upgrade and utilisation including the roof terrace. // Frank Bambino
