Resort-style living on Sydney’s Northern Beaches
A relaxed aesthetic and prestigious location in Sydney’s northern beaches has inspired a luxurious design that sets Arcare Warriewood apart from traditional aged care. The contemporary architectural language is expressed through articulating the building as a series of home-like elements that engage with the established local community and foster connection with the surroundings.
The design team worked hard to maximise connection and communication with the nature reserve, with a form representing a finger layout that pushes into the landscape whilst inviting the natural elements in. Earthy tones and natural materials combine to settle the buildings into the landscape, with the levels subtly tiered to the natural site slope. Expansive roof terraces allow residents to enjoy views and evoke a resort-like way of life.
The arrival experience is a key consideration, setting the tone for a luxurious, guest-like experience. This aspirational approach to living carries throughout the spaces, from the light-filled entry void and delicate glass autumn leaf installation, to the roof-top mini-golf course.
