NEW PARTNERSHIP // VIA ARCHITECTS SET TO BRING ORION’S NEW SENIORS LIVING PROJECT TO LIFE
We are proud to announce our recent appointment to design Orion International Group’s inaugural seniors living project.
In a design competition contending against some of Melbourne’s leading architecture firms, our team was awarded the partnership and is set to bring Orion’s project vision to life. This achievement is a testament to our practice’s human-led approach and proven track record of delivering design innovation within the seniors living sector.
Founded in 2003, Orion has built a diverse portfolio of residential, retail, and mixed-use developments, steadily contributing to Melbourne’s ever-growing landscape and shaping its future. With a core focus on creating vibrant spaces that inspire connectivity and activity, the group’s recent entry into the seniors’ living sector was a logical progression.
Our practice is well-placed to lead the design for Orion’s latest venture, with the group’s values aligned with our practice’s commitment to challenging the norms of traditional retirement village structures.
The project is located at 34-38 Bond Street, Ringwood and comprises an area of approximately 2,378 sqm. Positioned within the Ringwood Metropolitan Activity Centre, the seniors’ living residences will offer unparalleled connectivity and surrounding local amenity.
“We acknowledge that aging can be isolating, and understand the role built form plays in fostering a connected community environment. We shaped our response from a human perspective, putting the wants and needs of future residents at the fore,” said our Director, Mark Allan.
“In collaboration with Orion, we are committed to creating a boutique, active and sustainable new community, encouraging future residents to feel a strong sense of belonging while continuing to contribute to their community in meaningful ways.”
We look forward to partnering with Orion on this project and to bringing this new community to life.
