CELEBRATING SUCCESS // PAVILIONS BLACKBURN LAKE CAPTURES INDUSTRY ATTENTION WITH A DOUBLE WIN
We are incredibly proud to announce our studio’s double win at last night’s Property Council of Australia 2023 National Retirement Living Awards Gala.
The project has set a notable standard within the seniors living sector. It captured the attention of the industry by securing the Award for Best Retirement Village Development as well as the Tunstall Healthcare Award for Best Luxury Retirement Living Development.
Our Director, Mark Allan, recognised that the project exemplifies the sector’s direction, emphasising the role built form plays in improving the resident experience and quality of life.
“We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Seventh Day Adventist Church (VIC Conference). Collaborating with the group as their design partner has been an inspiring journey,” he said.
“Together, we have created a project that demonstrates our shared principles and values of reimagining the possibilities for our aging population. The project stands as a shining example of our studio’s innovative approach to seniors living design.”
Principles of empathetic design are visible from every angle of the project masterplan. Designed to offer retirees an enhanced lifestyle within an interconnected environment, the project promotes holistic health and wellbeing for its residents. The inner-city-style café, Miss Lucy, welcomes in the neighbourhood and provides a social link between residents and the broader community.
The level of competition in this year’s awards was exceptional. We were honoured to be recognised alongside so many industry leaders and achieving the double win is a testament to the hard work, creativity and dedication of our team.
This recognition fuels our passion for pushing boundaries and delivering architecture that positively impacts lives. We look forward to continuing to partner with forward-thinking developers and operators to create transformative spaces that enhance the human experience.
